Because Char did it so now I gotta.

1- Twone
I liked the idea of creating impromptu art instead of bothering with separating the bracelets. There's also metaphor about lovers in there, but you might as well just read the poem for that. I don't think I wrote this about anyone in particular, I just liked the imagery.

2 - More
I always write at least one awesome sexy poem every April, then wonder afterward why I didn't just make every poem a sexy poem.

3 - Token
I had just started writing that miniseries based around Iaen and Stevane's relationship. This will eventually get explored in that (NC-17) series.

4 - Bunnyhump Day
Easter was a bit of a downer, until it wasn't. By the way, losing weight is really hard on your wardrobe, and it sucks when you want something new to be able to show off our new figure with but your figure still hasn't settled into a common enough size that you can shop for it. Still working on this.

5- Saran
This was my life a couple years ago. I still think back on it pretty often - it's profound what I've escaped, and what I've become after doing so. Glad to be here talking to you about it, really, because if I were still like that this site and the story we write here wouldn't exist.

6- Trades
Every important relationship must have a balance and exchange if it is to endure.

7- Sheathe
I tried to write a story in this one, but I don't think anybody got it, so I'm just gonna sort of move on and let it go. Maybe another time, in long form.

8- She Had It Coming
Someone said that a woman walking alone at night in a dangerous place and "a short skirt" would be asking to be raped. I saw the argument one too many times. This is a good way to get defriended by an Irk, by the way.

9- Whiteknuckle
Okay yeah maybe two sexy poems this month.

10- Tribute
This is sort of a line-by-line response to Char's poem, and sort of not, as it's kind of a wonky review of the year previous to this one.

11- Art Bin
I love thrift stores.

12- Another Gold Star
This was dedicated to my deity of choice. I enjoy a rich spiritual life that consists mostly of me praying for motivation to get out of bed in the morning.

13- Show and Tell
This happened to me.

14- Role Model
I wouldn't be who I am without people to look up to.

15- The Jump On You
It's not just the obligatory drunk poem of the month. It's ONE OF THEM. Man, what a month.

16- Rules Broken
Everything's perfectly on the up-and-up, as you can plainly see.

17- Toy Eggshell
You know those plastic eggshells that you can open and close? Anyway, I moved into my own place a couple months back, but only recently got a mirror. For most of my life I haven't liked mirrors, but I've gotten used to looking at myself, and I'm starting to like what I see.

18- Beloved Returns(Seasonal Cycle)
That's right, I'm a goddamned pagan hippie. (My personal magic system is an original one with its own myth cycle.)

19- Instrumentality
I think this was the best thing I wrote all this month, and it's an effing shop of a photo of fridge poetry. Figures.

20- Pen Pal
The only thing that's harder for me to do than starting a letter to a friend is to finish it. I have tons lying around unfinished, and I don't know what to do with them, because they're all outdated by now.

21- Radio Transmission from the Past
Listening to October Project and thinking back on things. Possibly with alcohol. Now you know why I don't write the serial drunk.

22- Professor In-Between
I have a friend that likes to hover.

23- Cards
I can read tarot accurately, but it'd never make any money.

24- Matrix
I was wearing the pendant at the top. Alchemy is a funny little spirituality, as a lot of it is math and science. It's interesting trying to explain it to people who think I'm wearing a cross.

25- diatribe
The great thing about diary poems is reading them a year or so later, and recapturing a whole month in your memory.

26- Endurance Run
Book 3 of Peacock King is going to end at a lot longer than the other two books. At this point in a novel it is almost physically tiring. I know other authors write stories that are even longer (half of my current bookshelf is Stephen King), but this is the most I'll have ever written of one story. It's... exhausting. Would do it again, but damn, I'd take a break or two this time around.

27- Fib-onacci
Some nice rum was had that night.

28- De Nada
Ever thank God for something that, on retrospect, you don't think he really had a hand in? Or, if he did, you'd feel even worse about things?

29- Three Hours Fast
It's good for friendships to come full-circle.

30- The Way Before Me
I will have my vengeance!
Also, best magazine cover EVER.
