I got all excited because there were two new chapters! Only it was actually the same chapter. Kinda like identical twins when you're expecting fraternal ones.
Only not so much.

Edward is in a bit of a situation, isn't he? And if he leaves, how will that change Lyric's situation - anyone care to speculate?

Oh, and apparently this forum thread doesn't live anywhere. I *thought* I'd created it in the 'Story Discussion' section, but that just goes to show: thinking doesn't get you far.

Maybe it can drift around PK space for a while, and pick up anyone who manages to clamber on. Maybe it will vanish if people don't keep posting on it. Is a thread still a thread if no one can find it?

If anyone can clarify things, I won't bother having an identity crisis on its behalf...

I thought some elements of this chapter (like the last line) made it one of the best so far :)

Danke! I had so much fun writing this one. I'm pretending the group is a D&D party and I'm their DM. It means I'm always keeping them on their toes!

Funny, I thought it was the party's job to keep the DM on their toes...maybe because the only D&D session I was ever in went something like this:
"I kill the NPC miller who was trying to help us and loot him."
"Um...you find four bags of flour."
"I kill the NPC midwife and loot him!"
"You find a baby."
(I'm not sure if we were as violent as that makes us sound, but fortunately we had a very creative and very patient DM. We ended up going home at 4 am without getting past level 2...)

that's probably a stupid question, but what is D&D or a DM? I only know DM as a drugstore, and I've never seen a drugstore kill anyone...
Allthough sometimes I wonder how the smell in some of them isn't lethal...

The forum link on the side takes me to the old new forums and the one up the top says 'No forums defined' and I'm soooooo confused! Is it just me? Do I make websites malfunction within a radius of 50 cm?

Also, there is no option for what I want to say on the poll which is: what is a mobile web version, am I old and out of date or do I just not use my phone enough or is there some other meaning to 'mobile' which we don't use in my part of the world, and the end result of all that is that I am probably not the target demographic for a mobile web version but it doesn't bother me if you have one (unless I've completely misunderstood what they are and it does mean you'd change addresses every week).

Also, does anyone have interesting/useful information about the University of Oregon and Eugene (that isn't already on Wikipedia)?
