Waiting for more Peacock King? Getting antsy for Friday's chapter update? Well, if you haven't gone through the shorts and miniseries sections under the Read menu, you might want to poke around. There's hints and added backstory that could give you some clues as to where Peacock King is going.

I seriously suggest you read Hall of the Dead before Friday's update, in fact. This is a special 4-part miniseries Char and I wrote for Halloween in 2009 which answers the most important question in the Peacock King universe: how well could the Poet Hall survive a zombie invasion? Besides giving you the answer, it also gives important insight into certain characters' pasts and mindsets. You could survive without it, but it'll increase your enjoyment a lot. (And possibly brace you for some dark times a'comin'.) It'll come into play even more as the current storyline advances. Warning, though - Hall of the Dead is a pretty chilling story. But if you've read this far, you're probably getting used to that sort of thing.

Another story that'll add some depth is Court, Poets, Babies, and Royal Declarations. If you're curious about what Edward and Elric were like when they were in Radia, then this adds a fun glimpse at what normal life was like back in the days before all the trouble started.
