It just seems like a huge void here, and it'd be nice to fill it up with some laughter.

Works for me.
Hi, I'm Char, and if co-running this thing hasn't made me an alcoholic, NOTHING will.
Really don't know what to say by way of introduction, though. I mean, there's so much about me already sprinkled around the place that I think the only part I've left out is my bra size.

And when it doesn't get me shot, puns are the game. If I do get punched for that, it's writing and gaming. I'm a geek, what can I say? I'm in college for microbiology, so if you hear crying from San Diego, that'd be me. I'm almost 21, I'm short, I'm a girl, I write and like diseases way too much, and I complain about my bra size.
I found this place by stumbling onto it via y!gallery, a place I almost never go. I'm normally hiding in a cliquish fan site for a specific roleplaying game. It's mostly nice, if insular. It's where my biggest writing project is/was, something I may do again. It's always a pleasure to see others write well and this will be a pleasure to read. Probably multiple times because I still don't know what's going on, but that's normal.
[ P.s. I also write porn a bit much, but I'm always too scared to write fanfic. So this place is safe. >_>; Just watch out for when I have cracked out ideas. ]
.... I'm also learning that rich text is really odd.

I also make chibis. A lot of them. I don't know why.
UCSD? Good luck with the microbio. Zee oh em gee that's a bruiser of a major.

It's better than engineering. D: And that was I was thinking about before I got sense knocked into me!
UCSD is University of California, San Diego.

Yeah, I hail from North County. I just read "crying from San Diego" and assumed that was where you were attending classes. I guess it could have also been SDCC, or SUDS... I mean SDSU. ^^;;
What, knowing colleges is very important. It makes football season livelier!

...Not much has motivated me to log out of the Admindesu account yet.
Okay so, I'm Irk, and I pretty much gay things up for everyone. I got a Graphic Design BFA at Louisiana Tech and then went for some 3D animation in Florida before I realized I kind of hated doing 3D, but while I was there, I thought of doing the Peacock King somewhere between writing Slayers fanfiction and fangirling a Japanese BL game called Oujisama. I write, draw, and bother the cats all day.
Mostly I just bother the cats.
(I also make the tea.)
Um...well, I'm from New Zealand and studying at university...I'm not really sure how I came across the Peacock King because reading it promptly erased all other memories from my mind, and then I ran out of archives, which was sad. And then also had to return to the real world and recreate my memories.
Yes, you are right. I live in San Diego, have been here since preschool. XD SDSU is where my grandfather worked as a professor, I'm the one attending UCSD.
UCSD is funny that we don't have a football team. We are a research school and the University didn't want to think about or fuss about it. The only game I worry about is my dad's old team, Navy. Go-go military brats.

Yo yo. What up, peeps? I'm Dan, and I move around way, way too much. Along the way I've attended half a dozen colleges (none of which saw fit to give me a degree), lived on three continents, and worked everywhere from construction sites to ranches to Ft. Campbell to a law office.
I currently live in San Diego and spend most of my waking hours drinking coffee, begging Irk for more chapters, and chasing the local womenfolk. What can I say? There are worse lives to have.
Hi, I'm Ranshii, I'm an Aussie and I... Like beer a little too much I spent most of today asleep, well that's the price I pay for having a good night last night.
I stumbled across this site on Y-G from the add there 'Hot guys in collars. talking guns, boys in makeup AND birdies!' and it was like overkill, you had me at guys in collars but by the time 'talking guns' flashed up I was wondering why I was still watching the add. Anyway I started reading, and reading, and reading and soon finished I now check for updates obsessively.
I spend my time in adult education classes I made a bad choice to leave school a handful of years back and now I can't find decent work. I sort of work on a farm that does a children at risk program. Otherwise I'm lazing around reading, drawing pestering my own animals and drinking my life away. What else can I say...

Okay, so I'm infamous for being terrible at introducing myself. I'm Auri, and I found the Peacock King because I love webcomics. And I always end up following the "Links" pages. And somehow I got here. I do not exactly remember how, lol. May have involved a ad banner and kangaroos.
I'm a teenaged artist-writer. I talk too much, I live in the Midwest, and... yeah. See? Terrible at introductions. :D
This is a true thing. I am originally from Alpine from when I was a kid, so it's more like... moving back, but yeah. East County is where the cool kids live. ;)
I'm another Aussie, and I hail from the Western side.
In a roundabout way, I found PK thru' 1889.ca, as that was my first real foray into weblit, then I moved on from there through links and twitter id's.
I love music and reading, but I can only enjoy reading on my pc at the mo, as I have no functioning sound. :o(
I'm a Gen X'er, with a hubby and a couple of not too bratty brats, and I am currently failing at anti-procrastination training.
Whoa, Aussie crowd! Nifty!
Hi, I'm capriox, and I just got done doing my time in Peek Jail - I mean, reading thru the archives until I'm all caught up and waiting for the next update.
My life has two tracks: one is farm kid in rural-suburban America to college and then back to full-time farming with a little ag advocacy on the side. I FEED YOU ('cept the Aussies). The other is scifi/fantasy reader who stumbled on & ended up creating/running several play-by-email RPGs online, got into webcomics, wrote a 30+ chapter fanfic novel, studied a lot of writing/language stuff in college, got into reading weblit, and just recently became a weblit author, too.
That's the bare-bones version anyway. See y'all 'round the forum.

Ah, so farm - hence the bovidae?
Indeedy. Bovidae is the scientific grouping of ruminants that includes both cows and goats - the two species I spend most of my day working with! We also have various crops in addition to the dairy cows and meat goats.
Ironically, capriox is a bastardized word I invented way back when to blend cows & goats before I learned that they were both in the same subset of ruminants (non-bovidae ruminants include deer, giraffes, etc.).

Well, there you go, I thought Bovidae were just cows, now my procrastination has actually taught me something new. :o)
I hadn't progressed to the capriox part, but now I don't need to google it!
But I did anyway, and most of the first page references are to you. Unique :D
Really? *checks google* Whoa! Those are all me, except the myspace page one. General note: I am not an Asian man. In fact, I'm the opposite.
FYI, I'm amused to see that I'm registered user #69 on these forums. Hee!

Hi, I'm cay. There's much to say about me, but little of any consequence, I think.
I'm a 24 year old Japanology and Art History, living in Germany.
I'm an asexual transgender who thinks most otakus are on crack and deserve their straightjackets. Even though I'm kind of an otaku, I guess. I want to go back to Japan but instead I developed a cosplay obsession. I waaaaant to finish universoty fast...tired of it.
I'm also a huge fan of meta and stupid jokes.
Once upon I wrote funny stuff, but nowadays I only randomly drabble a little now and then.
I have a hair fetish, am addicted to tea and good fiction. Err, I just might fit in here? XD
Japanology & art history? Interesting... What does one do with such a degree combination after graduation?

Uhm, anything I can get? Really, I could work with a publisher, or at a museum (japanese tourists are everywhere) or in cultural exchange. Or I could do all of that in Japan, working with foreigners...
Heh, I go away for two weeks and find that PK has spawned lots of new readers! Yay :)
Cayra, by 'fit in' do you mean 'could be Ebrellin-i in an alternate universe'? How long left with your studies?
Also, for the benefit of those I was previously interrogating: I'm not moving to Oregon. But does anyone here have useful advice for someone moving to England? :P Most of us seem to be from the US or Australia...
Prepare yourself for *cold*. Most Americans don't realize that the lower part of England is on the same latitude as Vancouver. Also, I hope you like Indian food because thats very popular over there, and I my opinion better than the other options, probably influenced by my being vegetarian.
On another note; I understand your feelings iconoclast, I just spent the last ten days in Greece and come back to some 50-75 new post to go through, and thats just on *this* site!
Nothing? Nothing? NOTHING? Nothing, tra la la?
-Jereth (David Bowie), "The Labyrinth"
More like...WHERE DO I SIGN UP FOR POET TRAINING NAO???? And hand me the tea plz.
XD I'm not much like Ebrellin-i. A good thing, I think. Or maybe just a little. I love sparklies? *magpie, not peacock*
I'm twenty, I'm German, I study Biology in Kiel, maybe you heard about that, cayra, I've been with the peacockking since, dunno, October? I've found it via an add on "clan of the cats" I believe, but I won't swear to it. It was most likely a webcomic.
Well, what else to say about me? If you're interested in Harry Potter, you'll find my attempt on an English fan-fic here: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4533423/1/Making_a_Difference, and if you're interested in suffering werewolves go here: http://kestrel89.livejournal.com/ It's English too.
So, I write, I draw, and occasionally on accident I actually study. I've written three books so far but never managed to publish anything, and as it's German it wouldn't do you any good. O crap, why am I writing this anyway?
I sometimes draw - look for rafun1312 ond DeviantArt if you care. Most people don't, and I really should stop worrying about that, but I keep doing it anyway. I rant to much, which is due to the fact that "short" never quite had a meaning for me.
I'll better stop, before this gets embarassing.

Hi thar... can I convince you to cosplay? *grins* Since you're so conveniently placed in the same country as I?
Oooh thanks, kashi-hime. I'm actually a NZer but currently in a relatively warm part of the country so that's going to be an interesting change. I'm vegetarian too, and will be happy with Indian food :)
